On Friday 30th September, BTE joined thousands of people across the UK for the annual Macmillan Coffee Morning.
A coffee morning is a brilliant way to get staff together for an hour or so, have a good natter, a hot drink and a bit of something sweet. When you can raise money for a brilliant charity alongside it then everybody wins! This year we hosted our first ever Macmillan Coffee Morning which went down a treat. We had some delicious home-baked cakes, cookies, flapjack and a lot more.
Macmillan Cancer Support do a fantastic job supporting people impacted by cancer all over the UK. As many sadly know, cancer can affect our lives in so many different ways. Macmillan Cancer Support acts as an essential support system. The money raised helps people receive vital medical, practical and emotional support along with their families. Macmillan really makes a difference so we have loved being able to give back and help support those in need.
Drum roll please…We managed to raise a fantastic £419.00!

Whilst we kept the event internal, it was great to see some customers, drivers and other people who just happened to be stopping by. Having an hour out to have a chat with different people from other departments really helps bring us together and we all had a story to tell.
Our Macmillan Coffee Morning was a great success and this will be the start of many!
