It is nearly time for one of the Midlands’ most popular construction shows – the Executive Hire Show and this year there seems to be an electrifying buzz…
Who's going?
This year the show is being held on Wednesday 8th and Thursday 9th February at the Coventry Building Society Arena. Being the national event for tools, plant and equipment hire, the Exec Hire Show attracts a large number of exhibitors and visitors. You can find brands that offer a whole host of products from telehandlers and compressors, to tracking systems and ladders. Having such a diverse range of brands undoubtedly makes the show so popular and as a trade-only event, it is ideal for key decision-makers and buyers to attend.
New Products
Like most years, a number of new products are launched and this year seems to be no different. The Exec Hire Show has its own Innovation Trail where brands can showcase their most ground-breaking equipment. Each candidate will also have a live interview showcasing their products so don’t forget to check it out on the day.
One of our own manufacturers, Thwaites, will have their first-ever electric dumper on the stand. The electric 3 tonne swivel is synonymous with the Thwaites brand and a brilliant bit of kit that will be ready for sale later this year.
Merlo are also going electric and have their popular eWorker 25.5 electric telehandler on the stand. With a lift height of 4.8 meters and a maximum load capacity of 2500kg, it is ideal for jobs in closed environments including warehouses, material sheds, underground environments, and more, in addition to your standard outdoor construction sites.
It comes as no surprise that electric machinery is picking up some traction. Not only with the aim of going green and complying with clean air zones but also as a solution to help tackle the rising costs of fuel. In addition to Thwaites launching the electric 3-tonne dumper and Merlo featuring their eWorker, Atlas Copco will also be showcasing their electric compressor, the E-Air H250 VSD.
