BTE Plant Sales Ltd is committed to preventing acts of modern slavery and human trafficking from occurring within its business and supply chain, and imposes the same high standards on its suppliers.
We pride ourselves on the unrivalled level of customer service, calling upon nearly 30 years of experience and specialist knowhow to ensure we deliver just the right solution. However, it’s not only products, parts and service that we take seriously, we are also committed to the well-being and safety of the people who contribute to the success of business. This includes the wider supply chain.
BTE Plant Sales Ltd is one of the largest independent plant suppliers in the UK.
The Head Office is in Markfield, Leicestershire, with additional sites at Leeds and Leyland. The company has over 57 employees throughout the UK.

In order to deliver the best products and services to our customers, we work with a range of suppliers
BTE Plant Sales Ltd prides itself in bringing to its customers plant and machinery from the most highly regarded brands in the industry.
We are agents for 5 leading brands, and all our new products are sourced from these 5 suppliers which are Kubota , Thwaites , Bomag , Atlas Copco and Epiroc.
The 5 brands in turn, work with thousands of their own suppliers who produce and move hundreds of components across global supply chains. Underpinning the safety of our products ensures the integrity of this supply chain,
As part of our commitment to combating modern slavery, we have implemented the following policies:
We also make sure our suppliers are aware of our policies, and adhere to the same high standards.
These policies have been developed by our senior management team, and are reviewed on an annual basis.
Our policies reflect the commitment of those at the most senior level in the business to ensure the business behaves ethically, and with integrity in all our business relationships and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure human trafficking is not taking place anywhere in our business and in our supply chains.
Additionally, we have a Whistleblowing Policy whereby employees may report any concerns regarding slavery and human trafficking issues, including breaches of the company’s own policies in this regard.
Both the Modern Slavery policy and the Whistleblowing policy are contained in the Company Handbook, which is updated annually, and issued to employees at the commencement of their employment.
DUE DILIGENCE
As part of our efforts to monitor and reduce the risk of slavery and human trafficking occurring within our supply chains, we have adopted the following due diligence procedures
On an ongoing basis, existing suppliers are monitored to confirm compliance with our Modern slavery
Nevertheless, if evidence of modern slavery or human trafficking were found within any of the Group’s suppliers, action would be taken to work with the supplier to understand the situation and ensure corrective actions are taken. Where such actions were not implemented, the relationship with the supplier would be terminated

We invest in educating our staff to recognise the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chains. Through our training programmes, employees are encouraged to identify and report any potential breaches of our anti-slavery and human trafficking policy. Employees are taught the benefits of stringent measures to tackle slavery and human trafficking, as well as the consequences of failing to eradicate slavery and human trafficking from our business and supply chains.
Following our review of our actions this financial year to prevent slavery or human trafficking from occurring in our business or supply chains. BTE Plant Sales understands that the risks associated with modern slavery are constantly evolving and that it must continue to monitor and improve its actions in this area.
This statement is made in accordance with section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes BTE Plant Sales Ltd’s slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year commencing 01 April 2021 and ending 31 March 2022.
