Getting to Know Hannah Nelson: BTE’s Area Sales Manager
At BTE Plant Sales, we love introducing you to the people who keep everything running smoothly. This time, we caught up with Hannah Nelson, one of our Area Sales Managers, to learn more about her role, what she loves about BTE, and a few fun facts along the way.
Hey Hannah! You’re still quite new to BTE—how’s it going so far?
I am! I’ve been here for almost three months now, and it’s been brilliant. The team has been so welcoming, and our customers have been incredibly supportive. It’s always a bit daunting starting somewhere new, but everyone has made it easy for me to settle in.
Tell us a bit about your role—what does an Area Sales Manager do?
My job is all about building and maintaining customer relationships in my areas. I currently cover South Manchester, Warrington, Stockport, Crewe and Stoke. I make sure they have everything they need, whether that’s machinery, parts, or just good advice. It’s a mix of problem-solving, planning, and making sure we deliver the best service possible.
What drives you in your career?
I’m a big believer that hard work always pays off. I’m really proud to be a full-time working mum, showing my daughters that with effort and determination, you can earn some of the nicer things in life. I want to set that example for them.
Speaking of life outside work, what do you enjoy doing in your free time?
We love heading to the caravan with our two daughters and our dog. It’s a great way to unwind, spend quality time together, and enjoy a change of scenery.
Okay, time for some fun questions! If you could invite five famous people to a dinner party, who would they be?
Ooh, tough one! I’d go with Miley Cyrus, Princess Kate, Gordon Ramsay, James Corden, and Bluey. Quite a mix, but I think it would make for an interesting evening!
And what would be on the menu?
Definitely tapas—I love the variety, and you can’t go wrong with Spanish food.
We hear you have a strong opinion on tea… care to share?
(Laughs) Yes! I just don’t like it. I wish I did because everyone always offers a cup, but it’s just never been my thing. Give me a glass of wine after a long day instead!

The people—hands down. Both my colleagues and customers have been fantastic, and that makes all the difference.
