Going Electric at the Exec Hire Show – The NEW Thwaites Electric 3-Tonne Dumper
The Executive Hire Show is known for debuting new products and this year is no different. We are excited to announce that Thwaites will have their NEW electric dumper on the stand! It will make its first-ever UK appearance at the show and the Thwaites and BTE teams will be on hand to show you around. The 3 tonne swivel dumper is Thwaites’ first electric model as they look towards cleaner, alternative fuel sources.
The dumper is an advanced concept model and Thwaites are looking to go to market later in 2023. You may have already seen the machine in BAUMA last October, but it is definitely worth a look for those who haven't.
No compromises made
The 3-tonne swivel electric dumper will be able to complete an 8-hour shift from a single charge, providing it’s under normal site operation. It has been fitted with four long-life, lithium-ion batteries which are maintenance-free and operate at 48V. Thwaites also wanted to ensure that no compromise is given with operator control and manoeuvrability and so has fitted two electric motors – one for traction and the other for hydraulic services. These highly efficient motors paired with the main battery pack sitting lower in the rear chassis contribute to lowering the dumpers’ center of gravity, thus improving machine stability.
Just like all of Thwaites’s dumpers, they are designed with the end users in mind. Excellent build quality, reliable and robust design, and the same engineering genius that is found throughout the range.
Made in the UK
All Thwaites dumpers are built in the UK at their Leamington Spa headquarters and having been around the factory numerous times, it is clear that quality is a priority. They are proud that every piece of yellow metal you see on one of their dumpers would have been cut, bent, welded, and painted at the Thwaites factory!
Come and get a coffee!
Also on the Thwaites stand, they will have the hirers’ favourite 1 tonne dumper, seating area and their interactive sales screen so you can browse the full dumper range. Why not grab a coffee whilst you’re there too? Thwaites will have a Coffee Trike on the stand to serve up hot drinks for visitors. Additionally, on day one from 11am – 2pm a local artist, Ian Cook from PopBangColour will be on the stand creating something fantastic!
